I fell into a Psychology Today article - I don't usually go there - and think you would like Rabble Rouser. In this article, he talks about failure to replicate classic studies in social psychology.
He most certainly doesn't get it from me. When I was pregnant I asked my mother how long it was before I slept through the night. Her answer? Never. I thought she was joking until she asked me the last time I slept 8 hours in a row.
Apparently my parents just eventually gave up and taught me that it wasn't nice to wake other people up between certain hours, and to keep my door shut if I was going to play.

Seven hour stretches? I have never gotten that kind of sleep from any of my kids before they were 10 months old. Lucky, lucky you!
